These terms govern your use of the Apnea Trainer mobile application, Apple Watch app, widgets, this website, and related content. The app is provided by Cedar Theory LLC. By downloading, purchasing, or using Apnea Trainer, you agree to these terms, the privacy policy, and the end user license agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

When you obtain the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms supplement that EULA. If a provision conflicts, Apple's Standard EULA controls to the extent required for an app distributed through the App Store.

What Apnea Trainer provides

Apnea Trainer is dry-land breath-hold training. Features may include onboarding questions, personalized CO2 and O2 tables, a hold timer, rest countdown, a local log, a course path, optional voice cues, Apple Watch tables, widgets, Live Activities, and optional Apple Health writes.

Tables, timer, and log stay available without a purchase. Full Access adds voice cues, the complete course path, and Watch tables, as shown in the app.

Dry-land use and medical information

The app is not for use in water. Do not use it in a pool, the sea, a bath, or anywhere you could drown. Breath-hold training can cause blackout, injury, or death if misused.

We do not offer medical advice. Any and all recommendations should be viewed as suggestions. Please consult with your doctor before making any medical decisions. Apnea Trainer is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Lie on your back on a soft surface. Keep your face clear. Do not use a nose clip or anything covering the airway. Stay away from water, stairs, and roads. Breathe normally. Never breathe fast or deep to prepare a hold. If you feel odd, stop. Ending a round early is always right.

If you are in immediate danger or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. The app is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you may use the app only with an adult training with you, as the onboarding flow requires.

Subscriptions and the one-time plan

Apnea Trainer may offer a yearly auto-renewing subscription after a 7-day free trial, and a one-time Full Access plan that does not renew. The title, price, currency, billing period, and any trial shown in the app at purchase form part of these terms. Typical US prices are $14.99 a year after the trial, and $19.99 for the one-time plan. Apple may show a different localized price.

Introductory-offer eligibility is determined by Apple and may depend on your prior subscription history. Unused portions of a free trial, if offered, are forfeited upon a subscription purchase as described by Apple.

Billing, renewal, and cancellation

  • Payment is charged to your App Store Account upon purchase confirmation.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account will be charged within 24 hours prior, unless you cancel first.
  • Manage and cancel subscriptions in Account Settings. Canceled subscriptions remain active until the end of the period.
  • Deleting Apnea Trainer does not cancel an active subscription.
  • Use Restore purchases in the app with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.
  • Billing questions and refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Licence

Subject to these terms and Apple's Standard EULA, Cedar Theory LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Apnea Trainer on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app is licensed, not sold.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app in water or in any setting where a blackout would be unsafe
  • Copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its content
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where the law expressly permits it
  • Circumvent purchase checks, access controls, or security features
  • Interfere with the app, StoreKit, the App Store, or another person's use
  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable law

No guarantee of results

Responses to dry-land tables vary. Apnea Trainer does not promise a longer hold, a certification, a safer dive, or any particular training outcome.

Ownership and feedback

Apnea Trainer, including its software, design, writing, illustrations, voice material, and branding, is owned by Cedar Theory LLC or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. If you send feedback, you grant Cedar Theory LLC permission to use it without restriction or compensation, provided that doing so does not override rights described in the privacy policy.

Availability and disclaimers

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future operating system.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cedar Theory LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for injury from misuse, including any in-water use, arising from use of or inability to use the app.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Cedar Theory LLC's total liability related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.

Changes and termination

These terms may be updated when the app, App Store requirements, or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when updated terms are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address a material breach. Subscription cancellation remains subject to Apple's billing process.
