Overview
This policy explains how Cedar Theory LLC handles information when you use Apnea Trainer on iPhone and Apple Watch, bundle identifier com.cedar.Freediving-Trainer, or visit this website. Some screens may also show the name Freediving Trainer. Both names refer to the same app.
Training answers stay on this device. Apnea Trainer does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not send your hold times, name, or questionnaire answers to a Cedar Theory LLC server.
Information stored on your device
The app stores information locally so training can continue between sessions. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Onboarding answers used to build your tables and course path
- Schedule, session cues, reminder preference, and other settings
- Completed sessions, course progress, and your local training log
- A cached Full Access state used to present recently verified access
- First-party product events (screen and answer labels) saved in on-device storage for debugging. These events are not uploaded by the app.
Cedar Theory LLC does not operate an Apnea Trainer account system or a cloud training-profile service. We cannot view or retrieve the local information on your device.
Apple may include app data in device backups or sync under your Apple settings. Cedar Theory LLC does not control Apple's handling of backups.
Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional. If you choose Connect Apple Health, the iPhone app requests permission to write finished tables as Mindfulness minutes. The app does not read your Health history, heart rate, workouts, or clinical records.
On Apple Watch, a table may start an indoor mind-and-body workout so the session can stay on screen. That workout is handled by Apple Health on your devices. You can change Health permissions in iOS Settings.
Apple Watch, widgets, and Live Activities
If you use the Watch app, Home Screen widgets, or a Live Activity during a session, the iPhone app shares a local snapshot of the current table through Watch Connectivity and the app group group.com.cedar.Freediving-Trainer. That snapshot stays on devices signed in with your Apple ID. It is not sent to Cedar Theory LLC.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Apnea Trainer can remind you on session days and, if you chose a trial reminder, before a free week ends. Reminder times and the two-day or three-day trial preference are stored on your device. Notifications are scheduled locally through Apple's notification system. You can change permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple may process your Apple ID, payment method, storefront, and subscription status under Apple's privacy policy. Restore uses your Apple ID on this device. Apnea Trainer does not receive your full payment card details.
The yearly plan is shown as $14.99 after a 7-day trial, and the one-time plan as $19.99, unless Apple displays a different localized price. Tables, timer, and log stay available without a purchase.
Information handled by this website
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or contact forms that send data to us. If you email support, you choose what to include in that message. The host that serves these pages may receive standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time for security and delivery.
Retention and deletion
Local app information remains on your device until you change it in the app, clear it through iOS, or delete the app. Apple retains store records according to Apple's policies. Website host logs follow the host's operational policy.
Because we do not keep an Apnea Trainer server profile, deleting the app is the way to remove local training data, subject to iOS backup behaviour.
Your choices
- Skip Apple Health. The app still works.
- Change or revoke Health and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Turn session reminders off in the app.
- Restore purchases from You, using the same Apple ID.
- Manage or cancel a yearly subscription in Apple ID subscription settings.
- Delete the app to remove locally stored training information.
- Email us with a privacy question or rights request.
Privacy rights vary by location. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law. We may need enough information to understand the request, but we cannot retrieve local-only app data from your device.
Children
Apnea Trainer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, the app asks that an adult train with you. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
